I made this illustration as a personal project. I had the image in my head and wanted to render it uniquely. I was happy with how it turned out, so I made it available as an art print.

The Sketching Process
This drawing emerged slowly through several rough sketches. I mainly worked to get the proportion of the two animals close to correct while still maintaining the interlocking negative space between the ears of the hare and the muzzle of the wolf.
Final Print
Here’s a look at the final illustration. After finding the composition, I worked to render the animals and add detail. I added texture and overlaid the black and white drawing on a paper texture to get the final effect that I wanted.
